With over 10 years of experience in social media and marketing, Chelsey Wilkins is an award-winning driving force behind some of the biggest digital marketing campaigns in the music, entertainment and spirits’ industries. After receiving her Bachelor of Science from Boston University’s Questrum School of Business, Chelsey pursued a lucrative career writing for online publications like VIBE, ESSENCE Magazine and Ebony Magazine.
With digital platforms like Twitter and Instagram on the rise, Chelsey was an early adapter to social media platforms and incorporated these tools when promoting her work. While freelance writing, Chelsey accepted a role at MTV as a Digital Production Assistant. For the next 3 years she worked her way up to Associate Producer, contributing to major tentpole events like the Video Music Awards, Movie Awards and the renown Unplugged series. While at MTV, she was a part of the digital team who took home 2 Shorty Awards for innovation in Web, Mobile and Social for work done during the 2013 and 2014 MTV Video Music Awards.
After MTV, Chelsey joined the digital marketing team at Columbia Records as a Digital Content Manager. There she worked on social and digital campaigns for Solange’s critically acclaimed A Seat At The Table, The Chainsmoker’s debut album, N.E.R.D’s highly anticipated No One Ever Really Dies, and many more.
Chelsey is currently the Brand Manager for Tequila Avión, a Pernod Ricard subsidiary, where she manages Avión’s brand strategy, influencer marketing, social and digital media, event sponsorship, experiential and more. At Tequila Avión, she uses her experience in both entertainment and music, to bring culture and lifestyle to the young tequila brand having partnered with Jeezy, Rolling Loud Festival and Travis Scott’s inaugural Astroworld Festival - just to name a few.
When she’s not online, she enjoys photography, writing and traveling.
